He may try to, but there is no guarantee he will succeed. I'm sure he will give it a shot.

Those are HC’s moving on and taking their staff with them rather than an assistant leaving and taking a few with him. I get the dog eat dog sentiment though.

Yep....can Pry pay them at VT? If they are moving up to a DC or OC job but probably not a lateral. Other than that, it is about the Benjamins

I am happy for Pry. He is a solid coach but his defense had trouble making stops at the end of close games when we needed them the most. He is not unreplaceable.

By all indications it’s done and he’ll be announced as the head coach later today.

This is good news on many levels:
Pry gets a good job
DCs around the nation see that psu can be a stepping stone
And Franklin gets an opportunity to upgrade to a premier defensive coordinator on the same level as Yancich.

All is fine UNLESS he promotes from within like he did with Rahne, but he showed with Yancich that he is capable of a hone run

I guess Coach Pry was the “player to be named later” in the trade for Jordan Stout. After Stout won B1G punter of the year, the price we had to pay went up 😂. Sad to see Coach Pry go but happy for him.
