Penn State led for just 19 total seconds against Rutgers and trailed by double digits for much of the second half. After clawing all the way back and stealing a last-second inbounds pass, Sam Sessoms couldn't hit the buzzer-beater, closing Micah Shrewsberry's first season on a loss.

What no one is talking about is that the clock operator started the clock on the entry pass instead of when Lundy touched the ball. We lost about 1.5 seconds. More than enough time for the tip in of Sam's miss to have been the game winner.

It looks like they started it when the ball went past Harper (either anticipating he'd touch it, or actually thinking he got it). Either way, I have a hard time complaining since a) White should have been called for a violation and b) Lundy was definitely tugging on Harper.

Glad you caught that -- if the shot had gone in the thread on our board complaining about #14 not getting a T on the inbound infraction would still be going strong. Good win in the first round.

It's only a Technical if he touches the ball in that situation...however, they should have blown it dead, backed him off, and restarted the sequence.
