Pitt fans say the darndest things

Dude, I saw right through you on your first post. I was somewhat shocked that most of them didn't realize it at first.

Don't waste your time posting over there. It's like going out for drinks with Charles Manson.
I just found out about these boards to be honest, then their posts were ridiculous to I had to 1 up them. Every post I literally thought to myself, "what's the dumbest thing I could possibly say?" and they still ate it up. I never once even had to tread lightly to backtrack. Their another breed.

Maybe the title of this thread should be changed to "Pitt fans believe the darndest things"

Your posts were hilarious- just when you think those morons could not posssible be that stupid you dig deeper and they still ate it up - if there is a dumber fan base on earth I have yet to see it. They hate PSU but the truth is even if we were gone tomorrow they would still suck in everything they do and deep down they know it.

Just in from the lair......

I do agree... Pitt should ALWAYS be favored over the Big 10 champion that year, because Pitt is LOOOAAADDDSSS better than any Big 10 team. The fact we did win that year, should not ever be a happy event. In fact, it should be no different than beating Akron.

Hilarious, cause I believe they lost to Akron a few years ago.

Some idiot on the lair talking about their OT at the combine.

"This means that Brian is only .4 seconds slower than the overrated RB who can’t run between tackles to the east of us."

They forgot to mention that Barkley (a RB) out lifted their offensive lineman.

I guess we see the calibre of person who hates on Barkley. The same type of person who actually was glad for the Sandusky scandal because he hoped it would elevate their bottom feeder program. Pure trash. Don't bring it in here.

Too bad he didn't bother blocking for their backs.

I just couldn’t imagine living their life of constant comparison to PSU. Splitting hairs, rationalizing decimal places... hoping to one day catch up.

I don't know what fan base is more disgusting, pitt or osu. Lots of pedo references and wishing injury on Penn State players in the second half basketball thread on 11 warriors.

I think everyone here is too hard Chris Peak. I figure he has a mortgage, maybe kids, wants to eat. Is he really going to tell Pitt fans the truth about how terrible things are for Pitt sports? He'd have two subscribers, would have declared bankruptcy years ago and be living under a bridge. Poor guy deserves our pity and moral support.

I’m not sure he isn’t living under a bridge. LOL

Both school's forums have their share of knuckle dragging mouthbreathers....

The Pitters hate PSU because the Lions have dominated them and made them irrelevant. They have become a safety net program for players who cant get into their dream schools or regional favorites. 7-5 and 8-4 seasons, at best, can only be hoped for.

The OSU fans are looking in their rearview mirrors and see PSU at least in football, bearing down on them and know they are a real threat to end their dominance. Their vitriol has switched from UM to PSU.

Strange but Pitt draft picks seem in demand.
Former Pitt offensive lineman Brian O’Neill has been in Indianapolis this week to take part in the NFL Scouting Combine, and on Friday, he put his athleticism on display, posting the fastest 40-yard dash among offensive linemen in addition to the fastest three-cone drill.

O’Neill started the day by running a 40-yard dash that was unofficially clocked at 4.80 seconds. It was later adjusted to an official 4.82 seconds, which was still the fastest 40 recorded by an offensive lineman. In fact, he was one of just four linemen to post a time under five seconds.

Had O’Neill’s unofficial time held up, it would have been better than the 4.82 run by Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff in 2016. However, with the adjustment, he fell into a tie with Goff but still bested Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, who ran a 4.97 in 2015.

Not a big demand in the NFL for OL to sprint 40 yards down the field. During the regular season and Senior Bowl, at times, he looked like a human turnstile.

Yet with all their talent they still suck - coaching?
Pitt Football is unique in the annals of the game. They determine which games are important (usually after the game is completed) and then revel in those 1 or 2 games per year and declare elite status based on those few games. A victory over Miami defines them....not losses to the two last place division teams in the ACC or an overtime victory over Youngstown. They take great pride in limiting SB to 7 or 8 touchdowns in two games, point out he is over rated and then post while thumping their collective chests about how their defense stopped him cold. Its confusing enough to make you want to drive your car on a sidewalk.

Dunno, probably Quadree Henderson could go higher in the draft than most people think.
Henderson lettered as a first year, playing in nine games and leading Pitt with 504 kickoff return yards. His most notable performance from his debut season was his 100-yard kickoff return touchdown in the team’s game against Navy.

As a sophomore, Henderson demonstrated his ability as a top return specialist. He recorded 2,083 all-purpose yards in his sophomore season and established himself as the team’s second-leading rusher. He earned Consensus First Team All-American, First Team All-ACC Kick Returner and FBS Leader in combined kick return yards and kickoff return touchdowns with 1,166 yards and three return touchdowns.

Henderson garnered even more ACC recognition in his third year with the Panthers, earning a spot on the second team as a specialist for a consecutive year. He put up 767 kick return yards to rank 15th nationally.

He is an undeniable talent. However, without a demonstrated ability to be a playmaker as a receiver, teams might be reluctant to waste a high pick. Rosters are short and your special teams contributors by and large need to have a position on O or D should the need arise. I think teams would be intrigued by his talents and possibly have him on the practice squad to see how his ball skills project. I honestly would question his route running ability at this point (not that he can't learn).

This sounds like a Pitt press release - not contradicting what you said it's just the way you phrased it.

Are there are any other 3rd-rate, unproductive PA NFL prospects we can discuss now that the country has had it's share of Barkley being hailed as the best prospect in generations?

I'm also wondering if he's nothing but a crazy PR guy for Pitt. Seems strange way to spend a Saturday morning, trying to build excitement for draft picks for a different school.

He's a pitt troll, some of his wise words of wisdom over there include "Barkley sucks" and "Barkley stinks"

Just dangle a shiny key chain in front of him and he'll be content.

Henderson won't get drafted, unless someone takes a flyer on him in the last round. He is very, very, very small. He's only 5'8"; even Devin Hester was 5'11", and he looked tiny out on the field.

On top of that, for all of his speed, it's just under 4.5. That is fast for college, but in the NFL it's not particularly unusual. If someone catches him clean, he is going to get killed.

He is a fine college player, but he should have stayed in school.
