For you golfing guys...anyone know why the tour got rid of that tournament that used to be held at Castle Pines in Colo.? I used to love watching that tournament and I know the players voted it as one of their favorite stops. Plus the uniqueness of the format made it cool to watch once a year.

Hard to believe it was last played in 2006!
 
The Barracuda Championship, which is played opposite the Bridgestone, brought back the Stableford a few years ago.
 
The scoring system (which is fun and unique) was displaced by the refusal of the USGA and R&A to reign in the equipment and balls. When everyone in the field hits every par 5 in two, it loses its luster.
