I wonder if NW feels that they "found something" in Bryce Kirtz who wasn't used or targeted much before last week. Somebody posted that NW was losing by 21 entering the 4th quarter so it was just pass, pass, pass in that quarter. Having said that, their defense had to stop Minny in that quarter so good on them.

NW is probably the least talented team in the B1G.
It will be interesting to see if they try to keep it close with a conservative offense or capitalize on last week's pass-happy offense and come out aggressively.
Minnesota secondary is pretty awful, but NW QB throws accurately and has at least one receiver who can catch the ball.
NW has probably the best passing game PSU will have seen this year but that's not saying much given WVa, Ill and Iowa are all run oriented offenses.

Assuming decent weather, Franklin goes all out early, puts NW in a huge hole. Then the D puts the hammer down.
Yep, agreed. But we all came in fearing our run defense and thinking our pass defense would be awesome. Time to find out
Weather forecast as of today indicating sunshine and a high of 77. I would expect a Noon start will havevtemps in low to mid 60s and then warm up as game progresses.
This seems to be one of those games that always starts out frustrating. Noon start against a traditionally lackluster opponent after a big white out game win. The team usually lacks some focus and ends up going through the motions for a half before pulling away late. I expect a similar type game.
If Northwestern comes out fired up and passing like they did in the 4th quarter last week this has the potential to be a closer game than many think in the 3rd quarter.
NW was playing with more emotion and fight in the 4th last week. Not sure if they’ve finally started to click as a team or if it was just a blip on the radar with an epic Minny collapse. We’ll see if they can keep that going on Saturday.
