Redshirt sophomore DT Cole Brevard has entered the transfer portal. Not terribly shocking, don’t be surprised if we see more movement of players entering this week. May 1st is the deadline to enter.

Brevard, a member of the 2020 recruiting class appeared in one game for the Nittany Lions, this past season against Rutgers.

There is a deadline to enter the portal? Thought one could leave at any time?

What other restrictions or timelines are there?

Kid was highly rated with great offers. I had been wondering why he hasn't seen the field more, but the coaches must be in favor of playing other DT's ahead of him.

He hasn't shown anything. Weight room guy but the muscles in his case don't transfer to the field.
He was in some against Arkansas and got mauled.

There will be a bunch of kids hitting the portal in the next 2 days. Most already have spoken with the teams of where they want to go but with spring games over, guys know their place on the depth chart.

Maybe one of the bama kids who just entered can come in and play?

Be interesting to see who lands him from the portal. All the other big schools who offered out of high school still interested?

Franklin appears to be just a bad judge of talent when it come to offensive and defensive lineman.

The NCAA just released data that shows that only 54% of athlete's that enter the portal transfer to a new school and receive a scholarship at the new school. These kids needs some GOOD parental guidance which they clearly aren't getting.

Here's an SI article on the numbers.
