Since Dunk requested a thread ...

Isaiah Vance is the returning PA AAA 285 runner-up to Hunter Catka, and the only wrestler Catka did not bonus all year. Heavy favorite to win this year. Borderline top 10 nationally. Won Powerade with a victory over Malvern Prep's Cole Deery (also national top 10) in the finals. Great pickup for Army.

Hmmmm... a possible tOSU replacement at 133, should personal reasons equate to being closer to family in Brecksville, OH.
Tagg has been at 141 his entire college career. Tan Tom has Echemendia and D'Emilio there. This makes sense only if Sasso and Ech both move up next year.

If it's about being close to family, Kent State is a lot closer than Columbus. Then again, he's leaving his brother Julian behind at UNC.

Watched Mason’s semi and final. I think 10 catch and releases in the first period of the semi. In the final he had nationally rank Mac Church trying out for defensive back with all of the back pedaling. That young fella is on a whole other level.
“Whole other level”
How does that rate with “stud”, “must get”, “hammer“,and ”cant miss”? 🤪

Jalen Stephens, Columbia commit, placed 3rd and 4th at AA HWT the last 2 years. Ranked top 20 nationally despite just now starting the year.

If he can't go, the only returning placer is Brookville's Nathan Taylor (220 4th last year).

No visits allowed. As discussed on the other thread, he will be here as a competitor alone. Cael can not speak to him.

He could gain the benefit of conversations with all of our graduates in the NLWC also competing however. ;-/ ;-/ ;-)

Any new info on Richie Figueroa since we are talking potential lightweight?

Not that Cruz wouldnt still come, but how hard are we gonna keep after him with Steen coming in?

If we consider 125 sealed up for 4 years, what is the next priority? Im talking weights, not specific guys.
Not sure. Steen is a solid get with what I believe to be a large upside. In September it was believed if Figueroa did not come Cruz was a strong probability. I have no idea if Steen changed things, or if things changing led to Steen, or if we end up with something like a Jordan Nico combination.

None. NO weights need planned starters until at least the 2023 class or possibly 2024. 100% Luxury Recruiting Mode.

Things might change if guys grow out of weights or with injuries, but today PSU is in tremendous position.

Biggest question right now is 157 post Berge -- with Boone and Lee waiting. Some question.

Having Steen might but doesn't necessarily stop a push for Cruz. Cael landed Snacks then Kerk. PSU has Starocci + Brooks, Facundo on the way, and is a finalist for both Rylan Rogers and Bennett Berge.

(Of course Cruz might end up a 133. The fun with weight projections ...)
