Ozark's back!

I started to watch season 3 tonight, but thought I has already seen it. I better go back and check again.

Okay, tell me, is it worth continuing to watch? I thought the first season was very good but the second very contrived and borderline ridiculous. (The explosion at the end, absurd.)

It's not like there's so much other stuff to do we can just dismiss a show because we don't like it.;)

Ozark fans - How similar is it to Breaking Bad, if at all? I just finished re-watching BB and Netflix keeps suggesting Ozark. Are the shows at all similar and should I take a break on the "normal family intersects with the drug world" genre? TIA!

Different ends of the business for one.

Same basic theme but very well done. It is, IMHO, in the top three streaming series of all time.

Ozark is darker in my book. I love Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul also. Jason Bateman really does a amazing job. Being the producer and lead actor. And he’s got a incredible cast surrounding him.

Season 3 was really good. The "whoa" moment in the finale was something I was expecting, just wasn't expecting it as a season finale. I figured the trip to Mexico would be a good cliffhanger to make us wait and see what Navarro had up his sleeve.

Coming into the season I thought the actress who played Ruth did the best job, but the guy who played Ben was fantastic.

Just watched episode 3 last night. I’ll probably watch two more tonight. Great show.

Just wait until episodes 8, 9, and 10. It gets real in a hurry.

Admittedly, the first few episodes lulled me to sleep a bit with all the casino negotiations and whatnot. Boy I'm glad I stuck around.

Not going further in this thread to avoid spoilers, but the scene with Marty threatening Frank was great. About time that guy got backed off

Reminds me of the moment when Walter White went out into the parking lot of the Home Depot knockoff to tell those local tweakers to stay out of his territory.

It was the moment that he arrived.

There are more people connected to the Byrds that die violently than those who died and were connected to the Clintons....

Seems very woman empowering this year. Not saying it's a bad thing before all the board progressives shout at me, kind of an interesting story arch.
