It IS my favorite movie. I quote it all the time. "Ollie, you know my feelings about arming morons: you arm one, you've got to arm them all, otherwise it wouldn't be good sport."

It still kills me...

The thing about the characters in Richard Russo's novels, with the odd exception here and there (Miss Beryl, for example), they are deeply flawed but you love them anyway. They're real, they're honest, and they're totally captivating, warts and all. Nobody's Fool is a gem.
