Underrated BGs..

I've been into The Beach Boys lately but rather than post another of theirs I'll post an XTC song from the 80s (released under the pseudonym of The Dukes of Straosphear) that is an imitation of or an homage to The Beach Boys. Hearing this makes me realize that The Beach Boys (which creatively was mostly just Brian Wilson) didn't just create great music in general but also created a new genre of great music that didn't get nearly entirely mined. I don't know why more bands don't try to make stuff like this song. Maybe it's just too difficult and things aren't as easy as I think. But when you listen to it you think, why isn't there more of this out there.
