Just breaking. He was an asst wrestling coach there in the 80s. The team doctor is accused of the abuse. Jordan vehemently denies.

I do think that Jordan is getting railroaded here. Young men who play sports joking about getting molested or raped during their physicals is extremely common.

These are COLLEGE WRESTLERS we are talking about. If any of them had even an inkling that were being molested during a physical examination, they would have whooped that doctor’s ass.

When you consider that (a) victims of these “sex scandals” are currently being paid millions by the schools and (b) Jim Jordan is a controversial political figure, I think there are many factors present for a hit job.

But refuses to look anyone in the eyes when he does it, while refusing to take a polygraph test. B1G transparent.

“Many people are saying that Jackass Jim Jordan is a sexual predator and assisted in the assaults at OSU; right-hand-man, so to speak. SAD!”

Just following suit from the top. It sure is easy to make unfound accusations and have idiots believe them. Works beautifully for some.

Accepting arguendo that the wrestlers in question think there could be a payoff down the road, Jordan had every bit as much motivation to turn a blind eye at the time and to lie now as his accusers do.

Tell you what. I don't wanna hear anything about Sandusky from the Michigan State or Ohio State folks. My guess is that list will expand in the not too distant future.
I remember the talking heads saying the JS scandal was the worst in sports history. I don't hear anything similar out of their mouths now, about those 2 scandals which dwarf ours.

This stuff is rampant.. Everyday I'm reading about some pervert assaulting kids or having a stash of kid porn....EVERY university has perverts .. Just a matter of if or when they're caught.

Nope.

Jim Jordan knew.

Some of he wrestlers even told him at the time.

At the time, he told somebody that this doctor better not try it with him.

He knew.

On the other hand, OSU has said that over 130 athletes in 14 sports have come forward with accusations.

Burn it down. Take away their ugly terry cloth bathrobes. Make them ineligible to participate in the conference tournament. Ban them from nationals. I'm sure Emmert will be speaking about it soon and how it can be leveraged to benefit the NCAA.

I am not arguing against that. The guy probably was a pervert who touched athletes or made them undress during unnecessary times. What I am saying is I don’t think any of the athletes realized they were not receiving standard examinations or treatments until AFTER it was revealed this doctor was a perv, thus it’s wrong to play the blame game and try to attribute the fact that this guy didn’t get caught right away to a “cover up”.

Do you always blame the victims or is it just in this particular case? What a disgusting post.

Do you always make the ridiculous assumption that false accusations do not exist?

And how am I “blaming the victims” here. This doctor may be guilty as hell. I just think was shouldn’t jump on the “cover up” narrative just because we hate Ohio State, or that we don’t like Jim Jordan’s politics.

At least one wrestler has publicly stated he directly told Jordan at the time that he had been touched inappropriately.

You're not saying he didn't understand that at the time; your statements that

"If any of them had even an inkling that were being molested during a physical examination, they would have whooped that doctor’s ass.

When you consider that (a) victims of these “sex scandals” are currently being paid millions by the schools and (b) Jim Jordan is a controversial political figure, I think there are many factors present for a hit job."

indicate you're saying that the athletes who said they spoke to Jordan at the time are liars.

Frankly, you have no evidence of either the victims' or Jordan's veracity either way.

Incredible that you don't understand that saying that a wrestler can't be a victim because they are too strong isn't blaming the victim.

A disgusting post by a disgusting person.

We are jumping on the cover up narrative because the victims you so disrespect are saying it happened, he knew about it, and now he is lying.

YOUR agreement with his politics plays a role in your sympathy. Pffft.

Jordan didn't know what was going on. He said he didn't so there's no reason to inquire further. It's just like when Fina told Foradora that he (Fina) didn't leak anything regarding the grand jury. No reason to lie, right? :(

People like you are the reason Penn State paid out $118 million to 36 young men, half of whom didn’t even know Jerry Sandusky

You're the reason people think PSU football is a cult, because you exhibit the signs of someone who is in a cult. You're a sick person.

Over/under on number of days before OSU is again under fire for hiring Greg Schiano and LJ Sr? Something about "culture..."

We don't often agree (never before this, probably). But the "cover up" narrative" here is awfully similar to what happened at PSU, and most people on this board agree, myself included, that that narrative spiraled out of hand due to Jealousy/envy/hatred/politics of Joe Pa & C/S/S, & not Jerry himself.

And here we have the many of the same people who have posted and tweeted for 7 or 8 years about fairness & due process who are more than happy to do the same to some other guy from some rival school.

And the allegations don't really make that much sense, as @RussianEagle points out. These are college wrestlers. They are not 85 pound female gymnasts or 12 year old boys.

The "rumored" advice that Jordan gave, "that he'd kill him if he did that to me" is maybe #Fakenews, but probably close to what a lot of very strong straight guys would do if groped, repeatedly.

Extremely fishy story & hypocritical for at least some people here to be hyping it.

Sadly you don't hear much about these cases just like you didn't hear much about Bernie Fine at Syracuse. It's not such an exciting story without a personality like JoePa to throw under the bus.

I don't think it's that people are hyping the story. I think it's people expressing frustration at how PSU was treated compared to other schools.
