I frequently look at historic Aerials and maps for work. That's a new site for me.
PASDA also is loaded with old maps and Aerials. And it's part of PSU.
Probably every old map that ever existed is here.
I believe you are right, the aerials are from the USGS. They have an extensive collection of abandoned mine maps that I use as well as the historic aerials.I think this is from USGS. Historically they have done fly overs in heavily populated areas. So NE US has a lot of aerials.
