He wasn't escorted from the park you idiot. That was Franco's first home run so they escorted him down to the clubhouse to negotiate with the player / store the ball so that he and franco would work out a deal after the game. The ball landed in the flower box about four or five seats to the right of the woman/girl. It's not like it landed right in front of her and she was knocked out of the way as she was reaching for it. You just have heard a sensationalized news report because you obviously didn't see the video.
I saw a bunch of the videos he knocked into her, pushed her out of the way and knocked her hand away. It's plain to see what the slob did. I wonder if they charged the pig for 2 seats?

I am sure that guy is getting razzed by his friends somewhere for being such a douche. I would hope his wife/girlfriend/partner does the same.
Reminds me of a video from several years ago I saw on TV sports - foul ball goes into the stands and some 20 - something year old guy knocks some kid out of the way to get it. Kid started crying, the guy's girlfriend gets disgusted and leaves, and the fans boo him unmercifully. The player that hit the foul ball sends the kid signed ball and glove. I think that happened in Pittsburgh.
Remember the incident, but not who hit the foul ball. Nah, I'm not the old lady. But what the over weight hog did was uncalled for. I'm sure people who know the oinker will be all over him.
Ah, mea culpa. A thought the complaint was about the girl off to the right in the camera shot. I didn't realize the person in the blue shirt was a woman. Certainly poor manners by the guy but I've seen people do a lot worse to get a home run ball. I wonder if the outrage would be the same if the exact thing happened in any other MLB park.
I do. But I watch the highlights on the late news. It helps me get to sleep.
