Official PSU - USC Rose Bowl Game Thread

Well, coaches have the off season to figure out how to pay 4 quarters of football. This was a great game and this team exceeded their expectations

Real proud of the lions, they should have won that game. They traveled across country to play what was essentially a home game for USC. Came up just short due to a fluke play for USC.

Great season!

Trace has played pretty smart all year, but he did not have a good 4th quarter mentally. First the fumble, and then the bad passes at the end. This is going to sting.

Doesn't make sense, 49 points scored and you don't trust your offense. Love Franklin but that was absolutely pathetic not to trust your offense.

just a horrible way to lose on a classic game. Some really bad decisions down the stretch by the coaching staff and Trace.

But a great season and a the kids should be proud

Again, how do you not go for a play action pass on that 3rd and 4? Or #9 scramble to the left?? It's not like that extra time out burned made a difference.

Playing not to lose normally = loss.

Defense was NOT the same after Bell went out.

Too conservative? Like throwing a deep ball and getting picked to cost the game. Here come the arm chair experts

come on guys

I know their QB is damn good but come on get a hand on him and know to turn head around on defense.

defense lost once Bell went out. Cam Brown may be a good player some day, but he is far from being even adequate right now. USC running was almost non-existent until Bell went out. this changed the pressure, coverage and running def. lack of LB depth after losing Bowen and Bell.

we could have played differently at the end of course.

Have to run the ball on that 3rd down, don't get the first, your guaranteed overtime. When we were obviously running it, Trace should have kept at least one of those.

We're a BigTen team. BigTen teams find a way to lose bowl games, by big margins or small.

if it's a defensive struggle then you can turtle and try to run out the clock. not when SC is scoring in under a minute.

Bell was in the first half where the defense didn't force one punt

Good season but that third and four was the game. We had to be creative there and it was business as usual.

Love this team and their grit and the coaching staff for their job this year but.....couple of coaches need to look in the mirror for this loss.....turning into offensive chumps on last 2 drives....go for the ****ing win instead the god damn loss.
