I understand you want to get Pinnegar some fg tries. But I don’t love kicking a relatively long FG into the wind when your offense is doing whatever it wants.

Hate the miss but he has to be thrown into the fire sometime.

You want to put young people in a situation where they can be successful before throwing them in the fire. Having a freshman kicking a 44 yard FG into the wind is a bad decision. Offense is marching up and down the field. Just go for it.

For those that didn't like some of my posts last week when we were up by several scores, what you just saw from our defense was the concern. We don't fill gaps and match up in the secondary very well. We'll get gashed by a team that can execute if something doesn't change, and quickly.

Don't think I've ever seen a defense play so many different guys this early in a game. It's like we're still trying to identify a defense that works.

The good news is that, like our previous opponents, Illinois cannot match up against our playmakers on offense. This could turn into a track meet, which we should win.
