Sure. Injuries can happen at any moment. Freak pins, illness ect. I would say Reenan has a 2% chance to win 1 match however.

Though Taylor stumbled against the unspectacular Dmytro Rochniak, the win over Karimi was one of the best of Taylor's career to that point.

Taylor kicked off 2017 by winning another European tournament, this time in France. He picked up another win over Vereb, and the first of his many wins over Richard Perry. The France final is the closest match Perry has had with the Magicman.

If there was one event that announced Taylor's presence as a world title contender, it was the 2017 World Cup. Taylor would go 4-0 at the tournament and beat two Olympic gold medalists in Hassan Yazdani, the 2016 74kg champ, and Sharifov, the 2012 84kg champ. Yazdani and Sharifov each have another world gold medal to their names, among other credentials.
And Vladislav Valiev and Dato Marsahishvili are no slouches either. After this event, Valiev would go on to win Russian Nationals and earn a bronze at the 2017 World Championships, and Marsagishvili has a bronze at both Worlds and the Olympics to go along with four European Championship medals. Not a shabby couple days of work for Mr. Taylor.

But as a returning medalist, J'den Cox was able to sit out the challenge tournament and was waiting in the finals for Taylor after he plowed through the challenge tournament in the same manner that he dispatched his foes at the U.S. Open: expeditiously.
Taylor would take the Olympic bronze medalist Cox to three matches and score more cumulative points, but Cox took the series 3-2 and then went on to win bronze at the 2017 Worlds.

In the semifinals, Taylor pinned the 2017 junior world champ Naifonov before capping things off with another pinfall, this time of Turkey's Fatih Erdin.

New to the board..... I would guess at this level considering all variables there is 20% ish chance anyone could be upset.
no way 1 in 5. more like 1 in 100 (1%). Lopsided matchup and I would say the same if Dake or Jden was in DTs place... (I know Dake is lighter)
I suppose I get jittery saying anything in the sports world is more than an 80% lock. When I saw Buster Douglas beat Tyson that made me think anything can happen in sports. Heck Owings beat Gable, Jenn beat Cael and technically Van Brill beat Nolf. That being said, yeah the Magic Man is going to win.

Still - There’s a scarce chance Reenan could beat DT in one match.
Even more so, I think the Earth would need to spin backwards for Reenan to win 2 out of 3.

Just got back from Final X in State College and Reenen had NO chance from the opening whistle. His biggest claim to fame was getting an initial take down on David Taylor. From there... he tried to outmuscle DT and DT proceeded to outmuscle and use his vast technical superiority to dismantle Reenen. Reenen was looking in the REAR view mirror the entire time waiting for the DT train to steam roll him.
DT was so jacked to wrestle before his home crowd that during his customary jump before the match to get ready... I swear he jumped four feet in the air. DT was electric tonight and worth the price of admission... himself.
