Noteworthy Results & Goldfish Games: Feb 3-6

Thought Mcic had the back points, but the refs waived it off. 3-3 at the end of one.

And now it looks like he realizes it and it’s beating him down mentally. His body language was horrible
Wouldn’t be surprised if he tried 133 which has its own problems for him.

But, who does he best among Lee, Rivera, Eirman, Redd, etc., and that’s just the Big10.

In a weird twist, we’ll have to lean on our lightweights - need the first 3 and some bonus would be nice
Kerk is gonna curb stomp Lance.

Also I don't think we'll see Beard on Sunday. Looks like the coaches are lining him up for a medical shirt -- which would get him an extra year after Dean graduates. Much more likely we see Ball bump up to 197.

197 probably doesn't matter that much. We're winning 125, 133, 141, 184, 285, and Edsell is probably better than their 165. Bonus at 133 and 285, and a real shot at a pin at 125 (their guy is 3-10 this year).

Not sure how many care about the Big Ten regular season dual title but I’m pretty sure we locked it up today. We have a head to head over Iowa and Nebraska has two losses already. We can lose to Nebraska and it wouldn’t matter. If you care a lot about pride and the streak then sure but I think Cael is going to prioritize health big time.
Also the nits are 91-2 in duals in their last 93.

Yep, Byers said we won the Big Ten Dual championship title last night.

ASU beat Stanford 25-15 last night--a couple of interesting results:
  • Parco majored Abas 11-3
  • Griffith had a dogfight w/ Valencia, winning 7-6

Cornell - Princeton starting at 165, so it will be a while before Arujau - Glory.

And . . . unranked Marsh upsets #8 Ramirez 7-6.

Ramirez was gassed hard, clearly not used to wrestling right away.
If Ayres suspected that was going to be a problem for Ramirez, can you imagine the back-pattery that would be in order if Princeton had won the toss and Ayres decided to start at 165?

Great match. Arujau didn’t look the same after apparently hurting his hand/wrist.

And Vince Turk shows us the Iowa style at the end of his last Carver match. Gomez responds with a “let’s go MF” and gets away with it.

Though rather passive offensively, Lance hung in surprising well against Parris on Friday (2/4), losing only 4-1. And the second TD by Parris came very late; the bout score was close the whole way.

I had figured that Parris would dominate, but no.
