I am looking to buy a 100ah Lithium LiFePO4 battery to power a 50 or 55 lb thrust transom mount trolling motor propelling a Sea Eagle 285 inflatable Pontoon boat.
I am looking to spend about 400 bucks.
I am not familiar with lithium batteries other than they can get pretty expensive. My main goal is a lot less weight dedicated to the battery. If some folks could give me their opinion on a reliable brand or the actual battery they have bought hopefully in my price range it would really help. Thanks folks.

I just recently sold my canoe with trolling motor and 2 batteries. One was a mammoth that fit inside a box...super bulky and heavy. Didn't use it much b/c of that. Other was much lighter with built in handles...no box required. Used it all of the time til it finally died. When you get down to it the carrying/loading/easy connecting/ convenience factor may be the more important factors...$400 seems reasonable based on my memory. Enjoy the water! Where are you planning on using? Marsh Creek? Octorara Reservior?
