Mike lied about watching Rudy that night

I don't know the answer to this but has anyone thought of searching phone records? Did Mike call from a physical phone at Lasch or use a cell phone? That would verify times that were actual or alleged.

"Pull the LUDs," as they always say in Law & Order. We need Lenny Briscoe on the case. He gets results. :)

"The current date at the time of this apparent file transfer from Baldwin to the OAG was early January 2011. The real date posed a problem because the OAG could not make it fit under the existing statute of limitations in 2001. However, a 2002 date could be made to fit under a 2006 amendment to the statute that was enacted in 2007.

"At this point, McQueary was not sure if the incident happened in 2001 or 2002. This was golden for the OAG. Even though the notes clearly showed the exact date of 2-12-01, the OAG decided to go with the 2002 date.

"Why? Because that gave them an ‘extra year’ to file a Failure to Report charge against the PSU men. If the incident happened in 2002, then it was within the limit. Curley and Schultz were charged in November 2011."

Prosecutorial misconduct and why was Baldwin so involved?

Sounds like a pretty clear cut case of proecutorial misconduct. Not sure if that would fall under the brady rule or what but the defense team wasn't privy to the real date at the same time as the state.

Baldwin was colluding with the OAG to sandbag CSS, no wonder she got a proffer letter and was treated with kid gloves. Speaking of kids didn't Baldwin have a kid get in trouble for kind of drunk driving, maybe there was a quid quo pro??

Anybody with a brain knows that whole story was bullshit. Watching Rudy on a Friday night, at his age at the time (or any age), doesn't motivate you to go and put gym shoes in your locker. Of all of the concocted fabrications of this event, this was clearly the most ridiculous, and yet nobody questioned it.

As I've said before, we can't figure out what the hell happened that night, for real, until we know why the hell he was there, for real.

And if he was hammered, who could blame him? I'd have to be hammered to watch Rudy, myself.

Come to think of it, the OAG played MM by picking a football movie too. The ridiculous idea that watching half a football related movie would cause someone to run into work on a Friday night. Subconsciously it just plays in to the false "football first" narrative.

agree....not sure why "Rudy" would inspire a guy to get out of his seat and drive to Lasch to view recruiting tapes on a Friday night (and to put new sneakers in his locker). Why wouldn't you wait until the end of the movie or, then, Saturday morning?
I don't know. Watch a terrible movie or do work? I might prefer the latter. CFB coaches are known to put in crazy hours. There are many things about what makes them tick that I might not understand.

- Be Mike
- Be Irish
- Like to drink
- Two days after signing day
- Slowest time of the year for football coaches
- Time to blow off some steam
- Hit up happy hour
- Drink a lot
- Meet cute girl
- Can't go back to apartment because girlfriend
- "Hey, wanna see the Lasch building?"
- Walk to Lasch together
- "Stay here. I'm going to check to see if anyone else is in the building."
- Hear something downstairs. Need excuse to go check out.
- Grab sneakers from office
- Head down to coaches locker room.
- Hear the shower
- smirk... someone had the same idea as me.
- Check shower.
- See Sandusky with boy
- Not going to call cops because drunk, not sure what he saw in first place, and don't want girlfriend to find out why was really there
- Tell girl to take a hike
- Call dad
- "Mike, go home. You're drunk."
- Call Paterno next day
- Still not 100% sure of what he saw. Still doesn't want anyone to know real reason he was there.

I am not often 'Inspired' by a "terrible movie".

Where have you been? Were you on double secret probation?

Nope, no probation. Just puke-inducing listening to the morally-hypocritical scum on this board defend the politically and morally corrupt perpetrators of this tyranny (virtually all of them lawyers turned supposed "public servant" of some kind) at the same time they blow their moral-hypocrisy out of their @ss about "the victims" and "the children"....blah, blah, blah when it is the supposed "public servants" themselves (i.e., the hypocritical, lying scum) that LET THE CHILDREN OF PENNSYLVANIA DOWN. The only people these supposed "public servants" are interested in "serving" are themselves and their corrupt political masters.

Pathetic and vile POS - especially when they pedantically, arrogantly and hypocritically lecture the populous about morals, ethics and integrity - topics where they are "the problem", not part of the solution!

I wouldn't be surprised if the real reason Mike was at Lasch that night was so he could snoop around in Paterno or Ganter's locker to see if he could find any notes on who they were looking at to replace Kenny Jackson as recievers coach. That would help explain why he didn't confront Sandusky to make sure the kid was alright. He may have already been quite nervous about being there in the first place.

NOTE: I retract this statement considering its likely the real date of the shower incident was 12/29/2000

Does anybody really believe that MM was not out at a bar on a Friday night, especially a Friday night just after signing day (slowest part of the season) and right before spring break? I've seen him out enough to bet he was at the Gman, gaff, or dark horse if not all 3. Heck he probably started off at the cafe around noon if was nice out that day.

I'd have an easier time believing he was there snooping around the desks of those in line ahead of him for an open coaching job. That or just there to steal office supplies and athletic tape.

I know squat about football and couldn't even tell you where the Lasch building was or what was inside it - but a lot of what everyone is saying makes sense.

That whole "Rudy" story put forth by Sassano to determine the date of the incident was debunked years ago.

I think that further supports the snooping theory. Its likely while out socializing "Who will replace Kenny Jackson" would have certainly been a topic of conversation.

This is just a warm-up rant.

The "snooping" theory only makes sense if Fran and Joe were known to keep such relevant info/notes in their lockers (as opposed to in their offices), and Mike had access to their lockers.

Also, if you're snooping around the coaches lockers, wouldn't you check the parking lot to make sure that no coaches' (or former coaches') cars are parked there before entering?

recruiting tapes? wasn't recruiting either over for that year, or just about wrapped up? And if so why would he have to look at tapes at the last minute? Maybe he was getting a head start on next year? After busting your ass all week, recruiting winding down, that's what you wanted to do on a Friday night? Knowing you have a whole year to get it done? While being single? Is State College that dull?? He was a GA, why wouldn't the positon coach or area coach review them?
I would have an easier time saying he was going there to watch some pro tape that just came in, than recruiting tapes.

Yes, recruiting was over that week on Feb 7th and Mike wouldn't even have been involved in recruiting at the time. Its a laughable explanation and a lie to say that is what he was doing..

He might have been snooping around other areas and the shoes part was real. I've been known to run over to work to drop something off on a weekend. Sure, that's not late on a Friday night, but it still happens.

Drawing of staff locker room by AM on left, actual diagram on right.

Description of same locker room by Petrosky in trial testimony: "I think there were three or four stalls there." Day 3 Trial testimony p. 243

It looks like both nailed it.

This is a good point. Unless Jerry parked somewhere else and he and the "shower kid" hiked over to Lasch - Jerry's car would have been visible. Mike had to have noticed it there - would he have known it belonged to Jerry? One would assume if Mike did notice a car, he's think another coach would be in the facility.

I don't know football and don't know who has access to that building, what the routine would be for that building that week in February, whose offices are where and what is normally stored in that building. I'd love to hear from any folks that would be familiar with all that.

I still don't know why Mike would suddenly leap to "sexual sounds" like he did.

But that's beating a dead horse. We know the "anal rape" "stomach to back" "prepubescent boy" "skin on skin" imagery is all imagineering done by Frank "Fap" Fina and his hard core porn-addled gunslinger pals at the OAG.

You are correct. It was daughter Crystal, and I'm sure that record and all hearing materials were expunged and/or sealed.

So why would Ira Lubert shell out $100 million like that without proper vetting to claimants that had stories of abuse done to them by the founder and chairman of a kids charity that had agreements with Children & Youth Services?

From a distance, it looks like a very nice "gift" to a limited number of attorneys.

Sandusky had access to an office in the East Area Locker Room which is across from the Lasch building and has its own parking lot. The small parking lot in front of Lasch and the EALR parking lot are not visible to each other. PSU had strict parking rules so Jerry likely had parking access to EALR parking and not Lasch.
