Former Nittany Lion and current Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons has been named the Pro Football Writers Association’s Rookie of the Year for the 2021-22 season. He was also named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
He finished his rookie season with 84 combined tackles including 20 tackles for a loss and 13 sacks. He also recorded three forced fumbles on the season.
Parsons joins former Nittany Lion great Shane Conlan as the only Nittany Lions to be named the PWFA Rookie of the Year.
