White House ignores its Hunter problem

https://nypost.com/2022/03/20/white-house-ignores-its-hunter-problem/

It is hardly vindication of The Post’s flawless reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop that 17 months late, the New York Times has admitted the laptop is real.

It is an indictment of the Times and a betrayal of their readers who were kept in the dark about the true nature of Joe Biden before the 2020 election. But now that we are all on the same page, there are some serious questions the administration needs to answer, which go to America’s national security at a time of international peril.

Question 1

President Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki, refused to answer The Post’s White House reporter, Steven Nelson, when he had the rare opportunity to ask her two of those questions last week.

Psaki’s excuse was that Hunter Biden “doesn’t work in the government.”

But she wasn’t being asked about Hunter. She was being asked about her boss, the president.

“How is President Biden navigating conflicts of interest when it comes to sanctioning people who have done business with his family?” asked Nelson.
“What would be his conflicts of interest?” Psaki coolly replied.

Well, just for starters, Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, who paid $3.5 million into a bank account associated with Hunter and his business partner Devon Archer, was not sanctioned along with other oligarchs allied with President Vladimir Putin this month.

Why not? Was it an oversight? A favor?

It’s a serious question that deserves a serious answer.

Baturina wired $3.5 million on Feb. 14, 2014, to Rosemont Seneca Thornton, a consortium formed between Rosemont Seneca — the firm co-founded by Hunter, Archer and Chris Heinz — and the Thornton Group.

It is imperative that the Rs win the House and start investigating this and much more. Failing to do so and allowing this criminal outfit to carry on would mean the end of the Republic.

Agreed. May have to wait until November though. At this point in time, I think it is very safe to say that Biden ought to be impeached.

If the Rs win the House, there will be no investigation. Other things that would be good for the American people will not change. For example, the border will remain open. Our voting system will remain corrupt and unauditable. You can absolutely bank on this.

Life becomes much simpler once you realize that both R's and D's are working against your best interests.

So if Hunter doesn’t ‘work in the government’ why did he take over 400 trips with Secret Service protection including several on Air Force Two? And the Secret Service refuses to confirm how many of them were on AF One or Two or how many were on the extensive government aircraft fleet.

Reasonable question that no unhinged lefty wants to even think about.

But the Dems invade the personal freedoms and space of individuals and attack family values. I recently posted that there is a large school system in my area that has a rule that students and teachers are prohibited from using the terms "boys" and "girls." Complete lunatics that attack sane societal and family values as though they are cancerous.

Progressives always have the upper hand but always take it too far. That is what is going on now that they are in control. They went too far with COVID, Gay Rights, Abortion, School Content, energy policies.....happens every time.

GOP has to guard against doing the same. Elections are won in the middle.

I don't disagree with you, but I do not trust Republicans to roll back this invasion of personal space, family values, and freedoms. We saw with Trump that fairly easy changes in governmental policy made the U.S. a net exporter of energy in the span of a couple of years. This could have happened for the U.S. decades ago, whenever there were Republican voting majorities and a Republican president. Why didn't it happen? Republicans could have totally repealed Obamacare. They didn't do it. Republicans could have supported Trump's border wall. They didn't do it.

So, although liberals do attack personal freedoms and family values, Republicans are complicit via their lack of action when they have voting majorities. F 'em all.

Is it even possible anymore to get a "fair and balanced" investigation anymore or do these investigations just play to their base?

Lot's of talk, no action. I want to hear those 50 intelligence assholes tell us why the laptop was Russian disinformation. Specifically what information did they base their decision on.

Biden has said that Hunter is the smartest guy he knows. Of course, Hunter went along because of his very sophisticated understanding of foreign policy.
