Kutztown gets some tough calls in losing Rugby 7's.

Really thought that yellow card was harsh and another turnover in overtime was also questionable in my opinion. Two guys fighting for the ball in the last half minute of a championship game and she calls that. By the letter of the rules of the game maybe it is a foul but geez with all that was on the line.

I didn't see the game but, from the report I read, the penalty call in the last 30 seconds of regulation was for a "body slam" of a Cal player by the Kutztown player. In any event, I really liked the outcome. A three peat for Cal rugby 7's. Go Bears!

BTW, really good to see that the Lions made it into the tournament. I think PSU has become pretty competitive in both rugby 7's and traditional rugby. Great to see.

My husband (Penn State Rugby 1979-85) and daughter went down and had a wonderful time. Penn State had a stunning victory over a very strong St Joe's team late yesterday afternoon, despite being listed as 'Penn'. And Penn State women beat Lindenwood for the title.
