Tosu, michigan, michigan state, maryland, unc...

The list of schools with real scandals coming to light, many truly disgusting, since November 2011 is quite extensive. The media and athletic supporters across the country took great joy at labeling us and hoped for Penn State Football to die off. They got all of it wrong.

A retired sandusky and a few bad actors in old main do not define us. Penn State has always and will continue to epitomize Success With Honor.

409. Penn State Football continues to flourish.

The ncaa and, where appropriate, delany, will not step in and take action against actual scandal-ridden schools. They had a vendetta against Penn State but know they screwed up. They don't have a vendetta against these other schools and don't want to risk blowback. Furthermore, the media doesn't care about these real scandals like they did Penn State. They loved the JoePa hook, even though it was false.

These other schools will go relatively unscathed, but we know the real score. They should all burn down to the ground, but they won't. No, it won't go that far, but they are still suffering a healthy amount of embarrassment. Some coaches will be fired. Some players will be suspended or booted. Karma is real.

F*ck everyone. KARMA.

Add USC to that list (Dr Tyndall). Can’t forget them - at the Rose Bowl they were super-obnoxious with the sandusky sh!t

Few bad actors - BOT - we know the list. NCAA officials lack the intelligence to know they screwed up. Media doesn't care because there is no money to be made. Other schools not embarrassed, they'd need to have a conscience to be embarrassed .

I saw this posted somewhere so I know I'm repeating someone else's thought but Penn State is the team from the B1G east that has gone the longest without any scandals.

- OSU with the spousal abuse
- Michigan players selling shoes
- Mich. St. sexual assaults by football players plus Nassar
- Indiana had Kevin Wilson abusing football players
- Maryland has coaches that are abusing football players which allegedly led to the death of a player
- Rutgers got nailed with failure to monitor during the Flood years, plus the recent credit card fraud thing

We're the poster child for good behavior in the B1G east right now.

I tend to believe there was some level of embarrassment felt within the ncaa as a result of their handling of Penn State and the resulting blowback. They will never admit it publicly, but I am of the belief that it has been discussed internally and has dictated their inaction in the face of real scandals since.

It appears that the ncaa (emmert), and the b1g (delany) do not intend to enforce any standards anywhere. Their only function is to keep the money train flowing to pay their own high salaries. I think the solution to the problem is to cut off the head of the snake, in both cases.

Point well made. And you are correct, there will never be a public admission. NCAA is defined by how they acted toward PSU and their lack of action now.

NCAA life is shortening. All they worry about now is public perception. They refuse to step in and do anything to any of these institutions. Takes backbone to stand alone and do what's right. As long as everyone is piling on they all jumped on, now they are all hiding their hard in the sand hoping it all passes till football season starts.

And they lack institutional control.
There is widespread institutional failure, not just control. If PA state agencies had done their job in ‘98, PSU would not have seen reputations destroyed in 2011. The school shooting in Florida is a case of massive failure on the part of authorities. Notre Dame caused a death of a student volunteer - no one was fired! Michigan State takes the cake. And on, and on it goes.

The P5 should dump the NCAA, pay the players, and get all this BS out in the open.

Nevertheless, it does appear that the karma train continues to roll. Michigan and Pitt are next.
soon it will come out that Pitt didn't really have enough soda to give free drinks to each and every one of the 45 students who had attended a home game if they had all stayed
