Justin Mejia, Part IV

Hey! Justin Mejia is, apparently, again not an Iowa commit.

I'm feeling pretty good about having said "Get off my lawn!" to this kid after the first two de-commits. Gotta listen to them red flags, Baby! :)

I posted on there that maybe his name was Thornton Mellon

You can hardly blame him for backing away from Iowa when the prospect of spending 4-5 years being the backup to Spencer Lee is a good possibility.

I'll bet that before all is said and done, he ends up at Fresno State which is not a bad thing. Everyone here in CA, including me, is really pulling for that program to take off again. They have good recruits, a good coaching staff lined up and they will get good competition in the Big 12. Everything is pointing in a positive direction.

Highly doubt he ever steps foot on the mat for a Div I program.
Just curious, why would you say that? I believe I know, so only asking for clarity. If the kid has the motivation, imo he will wrestle D1...it's up to him.

From the article:
"Fast forward two months and IAwrestle has confirmed Justin Mejia will be going back to Illinois. We reached out to the Mejia family for comment and received “Long Story”."

LOL I bet it's a long story. With that many flips, it has to be.
