No links, but Joe has been working in the landscaping field, doing some very good, and tough, blue collar work, for the past few months. Disorder is in control, and health overall has improved in small steps. Will keep you posted.

Great to hear. Would love to see him get a job as a sideline reporter, if not for Penn State then maybe BTN.

Good story, plus could offer a different viewpoint. When has anyone gotten the opinion of a kicker during a broadcast?

I appreciate Joe for his struggles and successes.

What viewpoint would he bring that would be so unique and effective?

There is a reason that no kicker has done broadcasts.

His life is better without football. No reason for him to rekindle his connection with the sport.

Well, Paul McGuire was on NBC's number one team with Dick Enberg for a number of years as a former punter. Outside of McGuire, there also was Pat Summerall, the top voice of CBS for decades. Your point has merit though, in that for todays' modern game, the choices have been position players nearly exclusively.

someone already mentioned him.... Jay Feely

I watched a game last year or the year before and wondered who the color commentator was that was doing such a good job and lo and behold it was Feely

If he wants to put himself out there in the media, Julius could do far better than football announcing.

Joey seems to be a personable guy but has he had any experience in broadcast journalism? Being a funny guy with a good personality doesn’t necessarily translate to being good on air. In any event good luck to Joey in in whatever he chooses to do.

He's been spotted in downtown Harrisburg a few times by my buddies. I really want to recruit him for my kickball team..
