He's a megalomaniac from 50 years of "public service"....

https://townhall.com/columnists/der...-about-baby-formula-or-anything-else-n2607259

When it comes to the baby formula shortage, Joe Biden either doesn’t know or does not care. If it were Ensure, the President would be paying attention because that impacts something he cares about. But it’s for babies, the complete other end of life, and Joe Biden has always been about one thing and one thing only: himself. That you or someone you know is having difficulty feeding their baby is of no consequence for him. To the extent that he cares about it, or anything for that matter, it has to do with how it impacts him.

Biden hasn’t held a job in the private sector since his alleged run-in with “Corn Pop.” That’s a very, very long time ago. He was elected to the United States Senate at 29, and believed he should be president long before that. To hold that belief requires an incredible amount of narcissism, to hold it for more than 50 years is dangerous.

The worldview of your average politician is polluted, to say the least. It’s not just politicians, it’s anyone in a position people envy, admire, or hold sway over others. How often do you think your average movie star or professional athlete hears the word “no” from someone, anyone who can enforce it? Depending on when they achieved their success, it’s likely been a long while. The same goes for politicians.

When has it become the responsibilty of a POTUS in making sure all baies have formula? Do we want an economy that is directed from the WH or do we think free enterprise is the way to go. If there is demand for formula there should be companies willing and able to meet those needs.
All prices should be set in the WH, no exceptions.

Shuts it down about 6 months after a whistleblower complaint. Shuts it down in the middle of a supply chain crisis which has received no meaningful attention from the White House. Shuts it down without sounding alarms about the implications for an already tight supply. Shuts it down even though the CDC denies that there is a link between the factory problems and the infant illnesses and deaths.

Government should get involved when it creates the problem. Perhaps by getting out of the way and admitting it’s mistakes.

Babies had formula when Trump was president.
As usual, one way to view this crisis is to imagine that the baby formula shortage happened while Trump was President.

CNN and their other Dem-media allies would be blaming Trump all day, and searching for personal stories of children and families suffering while forced to do without baby formula. All because of that nasty Orange Man President. I suspect 2lion70 would see this as a huge indictment of Trump, yet he won't say the same about Biden.

No matter what the problem, Biden gets kid glove treatment from 90% of the media.

Mayor Butt chimes in.

Buttigieg says baby formula shortage is not the Biden administration’s fault

“This is a capitalist country. The government does not make baby formula, nor should it,” Mr. Buttigieg said on CBS’ ‘Face the Nation.’ “Companies make formula. And one of those companies, a company which by the way seems to have 40% market share, messed up and is unable to confirm that a plant, a major plant, is safe and free of contamination.”

The company referenced by Mr. Buttigieg was Abbott, and the Food and Drug Administration recommended against using baby formula made at a Michigan facility earlier this year.

Mr. Buttigieg indicated that the baby formula availability issue was personal to him as he has two nine-month-old children.

He said he has scoured stores and the internet for baby formula and talked to relatives living elsewhere to see if they would send him some. He said his family met his baby formula needs thus far.

When they’re sending pallets to the borders for illegal aliens and ignoring the needs of citizens . Try being honest for just once.
You voted for the most inept administration ever. Own it.

Well their formula did kill 2 children because of shoddy production controls. If they would maintain a clean and safe production facility they wouldn't be shut down.

Production was cut due to poor production safeguards by an inept company. The laws of our country require we treat all who seek refuge humane treatment. Too much formula production in the US is concentrated in 4 plants - when one produces bad product and gets shut down shortages result.
Is a POTUS responsible for all production of all goods & services in the USA? No, the government has no such required oversight.

The CDC says there is no correlation between the formula and the deaths. Can we believe any government entity? Who is right? Can we afford to wait for the government to figure it out before babies die of starvation?

Another circular situation. We dont have a southern border. Thousand of infants are stuck in our custody pending processing. We don’t have enough baby formula. But since we hold illegals in custody we must prioritize them for formula. Bad government decision after bad government decision breaks the system.

Except the CDC and FDA have found no evidence that the production facility has anything to do with those incidents and yet the plant remains closed.

The problem is that people actually still look to the govt for a solution. It gives each side a chance to throw accusations and little room or time for a solution. That's because govt doesn't have solutions, especially at the macro level.

Eventually the FDA will yield and allow Abbott to start producing again. Then both sides can go back and throw barbs at each other again over some new tragedy.

We didn't always have formula for babies. Before that, many housewives made their own. Also, they breastfed a lot longer than they do today. But, not all women can breast feed.

I remember when my younger sisters were born, my mother started to use formula. Before that it was simply to mix evaporated milk, water, and Karo syrup or some other type of sweetener. The only thing lacking is vitamins and minerals. Any pediatrician should be able to supply the needed info on those requirements dependent on the child's age.

I'm not saying that this can or should replace baby formula. Only saying that its a good stopgap method to prevent the mass starvation of children that the media is leading us to believe will happen.

The mass industrialization of our food sources and the exporting of those industries has not served us well.

Evidently Buttigieg is the wife in the relationship. Why doesn't he just breastfeed? After all, he alleges that his relationship with his husband is just as legitimate as a heterosexual relationship.

Thomas Sowell said it best.......... "The government is no where close to being capable of doing what the people on the left wanted them to do, and would be lucky if they didn't make it worse."

He was a Marxist until he spent a summer working in government.... lol....
