Franklin notes Penn State's defense has not given up a third-quarter point this season.
Franklin says he's very impressed by Cooper DeJean, Iowa's do-it-all defensive back who is also great on special teams.

Franklin did note yes, "We're done with the first-time stuff." when asked about Drew starting his first White Out game. Went onto say that he wants the team to take in the atmosphere for 30 seconds once they get on the field before kickoff, but then it goes back to execution.
Franklin acknowledges this week could be much like last week. "Probably going to be another one of those games where we're going to have to grind it out."
On the lack of explosive running plays this weekend (paraphrasing)... says the Nittany Lions need to start showing they can beat defenses over the top in order to generate more explosion in the running game. Teams are selling out to stop the run.

Franklin on Kaden Saunders. "He's really starting to build confidence and acquire strength. The big thing for him as a true freshman was he was undersized and needed the time in the weight room. Now he's undersized, but he's got the strength and the confidence to go out and play the way we need him on play."
