Interesting link on PSU's chances of making NCAA Tourney

This site says 3 more PSU wins gives them a 47% chance of making the tourney. 4 more wins seems like it would be a pretty sure thing. 2-1 the last 3 and 2 tourney wins....really would like them to finish 5th to play in the 4-5 seeded game on Fri of the Big 10 tourney.

Certainly have to win 2 of the next 3, Won't be easy, especially at Purdue on Sunday. The team played with such intensity in the first half last night that they didn't have a lot left in the tank late in the game, A real gutty effort. Now they have to get their legs back and prepare for a tough road game.

2-1 down the stretch still sets them up for a pretty good B1G run, so more reason to feel good. Unless I'm missing something, that gives PSU a low seed tournament matchup after a bye, and then Nebraska instead of OSU, MSU or Purdue....and UNL could be a tournament lock by the time that game occurs.

Beating Purdue was always going to be a difficult task, but I think after having lost three in a row, including the last one to Wisconsin, will make our task even harder. The only hope would be that there is something going on that doesn't get fixed until Monday AM. Even if still "out of wack", Purdue is a tough team to match up with.

We need to go 2-1 beating Michigan with Michigan also losing to either Ohio St at home or at MD. That would tie us for 5th with them and we would get the head to head tiebreaker. That would set us up playing the 12 or 13 seed on Thursday and then Nebraska on Friday.

Nebraska can win out and still not be a tournament lock. And the PSU game is going to mean everything for them. If Nebraska wins the next two as expected they'll come into the PSU game at 13-4 in conference. Sounds good right? Except literally out of the 13 wins .... only ONE has come against a team with a conference record above .500. 12-0 against sub .500 teams and 1-4 against .500 or above is not a tournament team. They're 3-8 vs the RPI Top 100 (we're 5-5). If we go 2-1 over the next 3 there's an extremely high chance we're selected before Nebraska no matter what. And even still, we may not be in yet.

Basically my dream scenario...we go 2-1, get the 5 seed, and Ohio St wins out. Then our path to the final is Iowa/Illinois, Nebraska, and Ohio St. Sets up a lot better than being on the same side as Purdue and MSU.

Was great to see some positive contributions from Bostic last night. Developing a bench that can come in and give a spark to the team, especially in the 2nd half when the team seems to get bogged down at times, is the next step....
