Article includes links to who's in and who's out since Primetime took over. Here is the hotlink:

Deion Sanders' Colorado football roster, transfers: Key stats

According to the main article and "Who's In and Who's Out" links, Colorado has seen 71 players from its roster enter the Portal since Prime took over in December 2022 - they have only added 35 players via the Portal since that time. If we include his recruiting class this year and the Portal X-Fers, Prime has added 50-60 new players to the roster. However, there is virtually no one left from last year's team if we add graduating players plus the 71 Portal Transfers since Prime took over. Hard to see how Prime is going to win this year with such a depleted roster (only like 70% of the 85 Limit - IOW, missing an entire recruiting class) made up 70% of Portal hammy-downs and 30% of trFR recruits that have yet to play a down of CFB???

The numbers are insane.

Read that players who left the team but did not enter the portal would keep their scholarships, thus choosing education over football. Once entering portal, scholarship is gone. Anyone know if this is accurate and if they choose education, not playing, do they still count against the 85. Several years ago, PSU had an LB leave the team and choose education, don't recall the name, thought he was an effective player though.

My understanding is the scholarship is guaranteed for 4 years unless they leave. I'm not sure if simply entering the portal invalidates the guarantee, or if they'd have to actually transfer. Some players that enter the portal end up not transferring. Also don't know if those would count against the 85 limit but I'd assume they don't.

Actually worse than I characterized, 2023 roster, as it stands now, would be made up 42% of trFR recruits who have yet to play a down and 58% of Transfer Portal hammy-downs.
