See Link. The host says that he doesn't think Cam was Clifford's first read on the 4th and 2 play? So was it Parker Washington then? If you're a regular watcher of these film studies, you'll remember Yurcich successfully dialed up a similar 'banjo beater' vs. Auburn where the receivers fake like they were crossing then touched then spilt for an easy completion. If anybody with some coaching X's and O's acumen can add some context, thanks in advance. Also, was there any explanation why King was on the field and not TCF in such a high leverage situation? Was it Injury?

Castro Fields was injured in the game. Heard Steve Jones mention it. Not sure about that play specifically.

TCF was injured? Wow. So we lost the center, Dotson, TCF and Lee by that point in the game during the game?

at some point we have to figure out why we are having so many injuries.

The difference on that Banjo beater is I don’t recall it being on 4th down and on the last drive of the game to win.
It looks like a baited coverage to me. Tight man to man to avoiding the 3 yard gain on an out or stop. Let the QB read the go route (if there is one, and the D doesn’t know for sure) since it’s low percentage and your QB isn’t terribly accurate long. Focus the rest of the D elsewhere to make the DB on the island look tasty.

(Then again, Chafie Fields, maybe lightning could strike twice in 25 years)

What was up with Lee? He did come back.
The Center might have been injured but we were better without him. Hate saying that but...
