I have much less of a problem with Navy's uniforms than Oregon or Maryland. At least these aren't garish, and have a point.

You jest, but the XFL was wayyy ahead of the NFL and college on many of these gimmicks.

Overhead cams. Camera guys on the field. Microphones on the field and players. The side stories about players and their parents. Crazy uniforms and names on backs of jerseys Etc.

Slowly almost all of these things have trickled into NFL and college.
