Yeah. It is. Fleming: top 5 portal receiver and 5 star recruit. Cephas: overall number 26 receiver who is incapable of reading a playbook or catching a difficult throw.
I am very impressed with his effort and production with downfield blocking. Should help Fatman and Singleton as well.
If a coaches need a playbook to remember their own offense that they have been running for years then how are the players supposed to remember the offense?

1k yards at a place like Ohio State and this… pretty, pretty good. Definitely improved the room today with the Cephas-Fleming swap.
I think that entire room could and we don't lose much. This is the worst Penn State WR room in decades.
They would never do this but you could employ a strategy of encouraging every single receiver in that room with the exception of possibly Wallace and Clifford to portal or maybe them too. Meanwhile you aggressively hunt the portal with the selling point you have a good shot to start for us and get a lot of targets. Our new OC loves your film and believes you can be an impact player for us......
This is big. Did know this fact. It is something that does not get noticed by the average fan like me but can open up our playbook.

The need for experience at CB is greater than DT or DE, and probably greater than the Oline as well.
What does any of that have to do with PSU getting a WR that looks like he will start at PSU over possibly any of the 11 WR's currently on the PSU roster? The fact that Flemming hasn't set the world on fire at oh-high-ya and is coming to start at PSU is just another reminder of how bad the PSU WR's preformed in 2023.
That offense was hot garbage with McCord. He tanked Emeka Egbuka’s first round stock, which means he’ll likely be back at OSU. Harrison Jr. was their only focus on offense
Fleming had 500+ yards and 7 TDs with Stroud in 2022. Nearly 100 of those came against Georgia as well.
We're not looking for Fleming to be Harrison level here. We just need him to be Parker Washington level.
Many here are discounting his solid blocking ability. He's been the best blocking WR under Ryan Day
