  Hi, Peggy: the plan for the Palmer Art Museum is that it be funded by art-loving donors, not university money. You're right, and agree 100%: we have more pressing needs for university money, like tuition reduction, student financial support, huge infrastructure rehab needs.

    Even Barron said he HOPED they might be able to raise $14,000,000 via donations. Come back and let us all know when there have been $85,000,000 donated for the museum.

This is not a big deal. Once we wave student loans and make college paid for by the govt, $85m wasted on a museum will look like pennies at the bottom of a wishing well. We just need to continue to give colleges blank checks that don't look like blank checks.

I truly don't have the "wordsmithing" abilities to fully encompass the level of disconcertion this should cause.

Doran sat there in that meeting (AT the Trustee table... closer to Barron than I was ), and either:

Was asleep throughout the entirety of the meeting - - - and never bothered to "catch up"
Or
Is putting forward a conscious bald-faced lie when asked by an Alumni about the issue.


How is that ANY better then the actions of the "OGBot"?
