Very good article. After reading, any rational lefty should understand why CRT is wrong for our children's curriculum.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/fighting-critical-race-theory-law-parents-best-weapon

Teach kids to hate America so that they destroy it. That is the unmistakable goal of those putting critical race theory into our nation’s public schools.

Too many parents are failing to use the sharpest arrow in their quiver—the law. And it’s not their fault. The law is understandably confusing and even intimidating. But it doesn’t have to be.

The law can be a powerful weapon, offering hope for a lasting victory that can’t easily be undone by the next election. We are on the front lines every day, leading the constitutional battle in the courtroom with the nation’s first comprehensive lawsuits against CRT in the classroom and teacher training. But in our experience parents need more than lawsuits; they need answers to their questions right now, before their child’s school has an opportunity to treat people differently because of the color of their skin, discriminate because of viewpoint, cause individuals to self-censor, or force individuals to accept beliefs with which they do not agree.

For decades those who would remake our country have tried to tear down America and replace it with a collectivist fantasy. The stark reality is while we fought on Capitol Hill, in our state legislatures and in the courts, they were using a new weapon to cultivate a new army tasked with hating America. The weapon: critical race theory. The new army: America’s children.

WHAT IS CRITICAL RACE THEORY?

When schools implement critical race theory, they teach children that America is a nation founded on White supremacy and that racism is embedded in America’s legal system, government policy and the Constitution. When they lie and insist that CRT is "real history," the message is clear: "End the American Republic."

Again, teach kids to hate America so they will destroy it. It’s quite genius in its brutal use of the power of ideas. To fight a war, you need soldiers. But in a constitutional war, you can’t draft soldiers. If kids are taught from the beginning that America is irredeemably racist, then they fall right into the progressive army and join the fight to undo our constitutional republic.

But parents are done. I know because I am one of them. We refuse to let the progressive left take our children from us. We refuse to continue framing the fight to stop woke education as nothing more than a cultural battle: a fight concocted by right-wing parents—alleged book burners, racists and even domestic terrorists—relegated to school board meetings, cable talk shows, and state legislatures. We refuse to be silenced or intimidated.

Million dollar question. As if it is going to turn back the clock and change anything.

My take, it is just as @bourbon n blues suggests. Power, but in this instance the power is cult like. It benefits the cult leader. Not too far off from BLM from what we've learned.

America was ,is and unfortunately will be a racist country. Denying does not change the facts. Perhaps acknowledging it, recognizing it for what it is and was maybe we could deal with it on a higher level. Burning books about it, sweeping it under the carpet will only allow the wound to fester and cause sepsis in the body politic. Alleged book burners??? If the right had it’s way we would be back in 1925 in Dayton Tn. Remember the Scopes Trial, or is evolution to heavy for you take.

You can't deny something that just simply isn't true. You gotta do better than this on this board.

Here's the fact - progressives like you only want power. And your way to keep that power is to keep our cities dependent on government so they continue to vote democratic. It is why you keep pushing that this country will always be racist. You don't want african americans to realize that they can simply stay out of poverty by having a 2 parent household. You don't want african americans to realize that they can be who they want to be if they put in the work. Progressives simply want to keep them poor so they are dependent on government.

So keep peddling your nonsense, sunset. We all see right through it. This crap may work with your circle of friends, but it won't work here.

Ahhh yes.....1925. Right after the reign of terror of Democrat, progressive Woodrow Wilson. You know, the President that constantly showed Birth of a Nation celebrating the KKK. The guy that fired all blacks that worked in the US government. The guy that set back race relations in the country well over a hundred years. Erased all the gains that blacks had made over the previous fifty years. It took until Eisenhower to start turning things around and correcting the damage caused by Wilson.

Wilson was a total racist, Andrew Jackson another nice fella. He had a thing for the Indians as I recall. My point was RACIST ALL. Made no difference if it was republican or Democrat.

Easy answer. Lefty grifters who engage in race baiting to obtain political power. Loser bureaucrats employed in jobs to purportedly fight the racism identified by crt.

From Pew, a reminder about how white liberals seem to be the most concerned about racism

It benefits progressives. They are the same people saying all whites are racist and african americans are helpless and need government in their lives.

Typical Leftie tripe. There is racism in every country, including black African countries. China is an extremely racist country. In the US, Indians have the highest income of any ethnicity and Nigerians have high incomes. The US has its faults, but is should not be compared to perfect. At least 80% of black economic disadvantage comes from the poor family structure that exists in many black communities. Focusing on CRT simply excuses black individual failures and continues on the mutli-generational poverty and family failures of the black communities in the US. 130 years ago Irish, Jewish and Italian people had fewer rights and more discrimination directed at them than black communities now, but having a country at that time that valued merit and hard work led to their success and American success.

Then every country in the world is a racist country because every country has exploited someone at one time. Hooray!!!!

BTW, I learned about the horror of slavery in the fourth grade. You didn't?
