See the link below. From the article:

“The NCAA has formed a constitutional committee "to propose ideas to reshape college sports," and Penn State Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Sandy Barbour is one of 23 people selected to be on it.

"Each of the appointees offers important insight on the transformation that's needed for the future," NCAA President Mark Emmert said in a released statement.

"The time is now for substantive change. And future change must focus on serving student-athletes."”

Sandy reshaping and transforming. Holy crap.

Clearly this committee will benefit from Sandy’s leadering. Per other reports, Sandy told emmert she would supply the onion dip.

Oh, so this is the committee that will finally disband the NCAA that allowed itself to become irrelevant under Emmert's "leadership".

The NCAA had opportunities to serve student athletes but chose not to.
  • Student athletes were sexually assaulted at Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State. The NCAA did nothing about it.
  • Student athletes were allowed flout academic rules to their own detriment at UNC. The NCAA did nothing about it.
  • The amateur athletics model/fallacy is no longer exists. The NCAA can do nothing about it.
I'm not sure what the NCAA now thinks it can do. The organization currently exists mainly for its own sake since it does nothing for student athletes.

A couple of her recommendations:

1. Hire dozens of more admin bureaucrat types that specialize in paying homage to tiny details of progressive ideals.

2. Build high end art museums as a way to increase attendance of sporting events.

3. Talk about necessary investments in ad finitum but never improve anything.

Appears you have been a busy, little bee lately tracking Sandy 😏

In fairness to her/them, if you actually solve the problem there will be little need to spend additional money.

Oh bajeezez. How many new Asst AD's will this require to support? OTOH when SB is there, she's not here.
Hmmm. That has a nice ring to it.

Now if they could have found an incompetent transgender who self identifies as an Alpaca, then they would have gotten the spot. That not being available they had to pick the worst available.

Think how many little people it would take to do half of what Sandy accomplishes in a given day.

I am glad it is "constitutional" I hope whatever they produce, they don't forget to flush.

Aside from this board, and the Neanderthal anti-gay inhabitants who reside herein, Sandy is well respected nationally within the AD community.

That's like being well-respected at the idiots' convention.

We usually align but Sandy is an example of what we in the military community call ‘f*** up, move up.’ By all accounts her track record at Cal was awful, she was demoted Milton from Office Space style, then suddenly gets one of the best AD jobs in the country?

It’s known as elite leadering. I can’t explain it, but I know it when I see it.
