fc ot it is bad enough when a school drops football, but rodeo? thats where I draw the line!

Bacone (NAIA – OK): The school has cut the football program, along with the rodeo and men’s and women’s wrestling programs, and laid off AD Alan Foster. Bacone brought back its football program in 2001 after a 44-year absence.

let along men's and womens wrestling!!!
 
With Penn State's ever-expanding athletic budget ( :eek: ), I'm surprised Sandy hasn't elevated our Goat Rodeo program to D-1. You have to think it is a Penn State dynasty in the making.
 
They can't compete with the money and resources that their rival and national rodeo power Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) puts into the sport. NCAA rodeo is an arms race and Bacone has decided to back out.

So what happens to the bulls and broncos on scholarship? Are they permitted to transfer without restriction?

Bacone College, formerly Bacone Indian University, is a private four-year liberal arts college in Muskogee, Oklahoma, United States. Founded in 1880 as the Indian University by Almon C. Bacone, Bacone College is the oldest continuously operated institution of higher education in Oklahoma. Women’s wrestling? You would think that would be a money maker. Maybe not so much in Oklahoma. They’re used to wrestling calves.
