he's 4th of 7 yr contract.

Michigan: Asked if it’s time to start negotiations on a new contract for Jim Harbaugh, Michigan AD Warde Manuel told MLive, “Not at this point.” Harbaugh is in Year 4 of a 7-year contract.

He’s coming up on year 4 of 7 so I’m not sure if there’s anything really to make of the AD’s comment. So far he’s been good but not the savior most at Michigan thought he would be.

It would be interesting to see how Michigan handled other contracts at a similar time but I think they will get going with negotiations after year 5. Unless Harbaugh walks away, I fully expect Michigan to keep him as coach.

Last November it was reported that they were working on a lifetime contract.

And others reported that he already has a lifetime contract.

Year 4 of 7 means nothing at Michigan.

He is Harbaugh, the chosen one.

I was praying the lifetime contract would get done. Michigan deserves a lifetime of Harbaugh.

It's interesting that harbaugh as a former qb has been able to recruit and develop every position but qb.That said if this kid from Mississippi clears and plays well they will be tough to beat.
