FC: Numerous Football Game Day Improvements to be Unveiled at Beaver Stadium

Wouldn't surprise me if this regime made you fill out a 1099 form so they could report your winnings to the IRS
That will happen. I guarantee it. It may even be required by law. I know if someone hits it big in a casino a 1099 is completed when the winner cashes out.

I am interested to see how the new four lane highway at Potter's Mill helps traffic. Don't see it doing much on the way in, but leaving should really help. That was the bottleneck on 322 going East after a game as that merge point with route 144 and narrow slow uphill climb is ultimately where things slowed down and then backed up all the way to State College. So now that the merge point is gone and we have 4 lanes up the hill, that has to help a ton.

It should help somewhat. Still single lane (each way) between Boalsburg and Potter Mills, but the cars coming off of 144 were a real PITA.

This regime? Any regime should be giving you a W2G if they have any clue what they are doing…Taxes will also be withheld on the winnings, if over 5k, at 24%.

Improvements?

"Penn State Athletics has fully converted to mobile tickets for all fans and all sports to allow for improved ticket delivery and management"

And, reduce the availability of tickets for bad games so as to increase the sale of over-priced tickets.

"Inside Beaver Stadium, the ribbon boards have been replaced to upgrade programming capabilities and visual appearance"

Force-feed more advertisements down attendee's throats.

"Inside Beaver Stadium, the ribbon boards have been replaced to upgrade programming capabilities and visual appearance."

We are greedy SOBs and we need to find someway to pay our overpaid athletic director and head football coach.

I've been to plenty of places with 50/50 winnings in the couple thousand....they give you a wad of cash and the winner walks away with the IRS none the wiser
Yep, the IRS would never get wind of a 50/50 being run in a venue with 100k+ people, and one that being advertised. This ain’t your neighborhood beef and beer. The fact that you think our administration (of a State related school) is making a mistake doing this on the up and up is astounding.

Those metal detectors….game day improvements. Is there another stadium that does this?
Almost all have something these days. They have a new system at Crew games that goes a lot faster and you do not have to take keys, phones, etc. out of your pockets not do you have to take your hat off.

They also have a face recoginition entry system--which has worked well except for the last match--the heat/sun got to it.
