FC- Kane in trouble with apparent grand jury perjury.

IIRC this case was instigated by Fina and Seth Williams. Sounds like Kane is caught red handed here. That said, it would be ironic if she started an investigation on the JS GJ leak with Fina at the head of the line. ;)

The article states that Kane hired Lanni Davis as her adviser or I guess PR guy. I did not know that before but she is now connected to the BoT through Lanni Davis. Kane's statements about having a good case against CSS now has a new meaning. She seems now to be a part of the BoT PR machine instead of what she professed as looking for the truth. Her statements have no credibility in my mind and were just made to drag out the situation for the BoT. They still don't have any credible evidence from what I have seen or heard.

The good news is that Kane may have to go to trial because of her statements. The trial will go a long way to unearthing more of the truth.
 
On the surface, she appears to be a dimwit.

She is either stupid, incredibly politically naive, or else the victim of an incredibly well-orchestrated smear campaign.

Disappointing, but I'm still glad she won that election, instead of the other guy who was very closely attached to Corbett.

If she had been the choice of the Democratic party, instead of being the firebrand outsider, she may have gotten more help from the party and survived/avoided this, but it's clear that she has no allies at all. Porngate must have pissed off a whole lot of people.

Or, she has a lot of other bad stuff that she knows, and they want to make sure she's fully discredited before she can reveal it.
 
The real problem exposed with the "Kane-in-Trouble" story

This "Kane in Trouble" issue is another concrete example of politically manufactured legal abuse to anyone...and I mean ANYONE who dares challenge the political machine in the state. It is just more of the continuous evidence of abuses in PA's operations and legal system. These profound abuses were first concretely validated by The Sandusky "OAG Media presentment sideshow" and the then manufactured Penn State Criminal Illusion. It all confirms the now overwhelmingly obvious fact that......The OAG, PA's Justice Support Agencies and PA Courts themselves are completely corrupt!!!

And yet, no one in our state or federal government has done anything to address this now obvious fact. No one cares enough to the re-establish legal justice in the state and protect basic civil, legal rights provided to PA.

Please note that many criminal-class activities have been KNOWN & permitted in the state in the past 4 years. Also note that CRIMINAL charges for these type of actions do not require "Legal Proof of wrongdoing" - only reasonable charges. Ironically, it seems that our basic laws are being abused by "legal technicalities & loopholes" which can be invoked "as needed" - not to protect justice - but to insure collusive abuses in the state by politically connected elite go unpunished!!!! Amazing!!!!

It used to be just the APPEARANCE of governmental impropriety was enough to have you removed from office and criminally investigated. So much for today where justice.....Justice in PA..... is a commodity for sale to the highest bidder or for only the most politically advantaged.

As the "Great??" Tom Corbett once said his means to invoke action on his agenda......REMEMBER THE VICTIMS.....

We need to start to understand how this cry for action should now apply.....The "Victims" here mean abuses of the PA government....THE VICTIMS are everyone in the state of PA!!!!!

Kane's connection to Lanny Davis likely comes through the Clintons, not the Board of Trustees. Lanny was Clinton's big problem-solver, and Kane is very, very close to the Clintons - she was pretty high up in the Pennsylvania campaign office for Hilary's primary bid in the 2007 presidential race.
 
Tina a stand up guy?! Maybe comedian. Glad I don't live in pa for this circus, but from the outside there are none I would characterize as Stand up

Yeah, I'm beginning to think she falls into the arrogant dimwit category.

That said, there is also the usual PA legal double standard here. CSS are charged with perjury which they deny while Pennsylvania State troopers openly admit perjury in court at the JS trial yet are not charged.......Kane is charged with violating grand jury rules while someone in the Fina lead group who leaked JS grand jury information as well as the current leaks to the Inquirer are not investigated/ charged.
 
I wouldn't take anything the Philly Inq says too seriously. They have become a joke of a paper and are basically Fina's mouthpiece by now.

I'm not the biggest fan of Kane's but Fina is a complete corrupt scumbag. As PSU00 said, why the double standard? Why is the media not outraged by the GJ leaks from the JS investigation and the current leak that's feeding secret info to the Philly Inq???? The media/public just glosses over this HUGE double standard and wants to call for Kane's head...I just don't get it.

If they are going to go this hard after Kane for supposed illegal GJ leaks, then why not also go hard after Fina and all the leaks he or someone in his crew are responsible for???

Yes, her opponents may be scumbags, and yes, maybe her goal to shake up the corrupt establishment is a righteous one, but you just can't go into a grand jury and lie, if that's what she did. If she testified that her top aide encouraged her to leak, and the top aide says "I didn't, and here's the email to prove it", and if everyone else in the OAG office testified differently than Kane, then she's got big time problems.

If that's what happened, then yes she would be in some hot water. But you're basing this all on what some anonymous source is saying to the Philly Inq. That's not very solid especially for such a high stakes game.

Don't forget, the supervising judge REFUSES to make the GJP public. I find that highly odd in such a public case that has already had it's GJ secrecy breached and the speculation is high and mouthpieces like the Inq. are asking for Kane's resignation. Why is that? Is is so the anonymous sources speaking to the Inq. can drive the narrative by saying whatever they want? These sources would be lying for all we know.

Also what's the history of this top aide? Is it someone who was in the OAG before Kane? If so maybe they are beholden to Fina and trying to sandbag Kane? That office was such a cesspool before she got there who knows how for the corruption went!

I hear ya but if what's reported is true- that she said X and the committed perjury and they have email proof........ then she's toast. Unfortunately it looks like there's just dishonesty and a lack of integrity on all sides in that office.

Thanks for the info...IF what the Philly Inq is reporting is true then it certainly seems like Kane has stepped in it....

However, all we have so far is what some anonymous person has told the Inq about what Kane's and King's testimony was...for all we know this source could be completely full of shit and is just doing Fina's bidding by trying to smear Kane in the press.....I want to see the damn GJP...I think that would clear up a lot of things as far as who said what during their testimony, even though GJP's aren't factual and could also be wrong/misleading as we well know from the 11/11 GJP "leak".
