I was at that game. The shirts with Rockne, Ara, Frank Leahy and Charlie on them as the 4 great coaches of ND. I told my buddy that day ... ND is desperate for someone to lead the football program.

Those schools signed him to those contracts. I would bet he never held a gun to their head to do so, either. Charlie should get every dollar owed to him from those dopes.
