Penn State’s Faculty Senate voted Friday to pass a vote of no confidence in the university’s fall semester planning amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organization’s vote of no confidence passed 109-57. A separate vote urging Penn State to take stronger action against COVID-19 passed 128-32. Both needed a simple majority to pass.

In a special meeting, senators said Penn State’s implemented measures fall short of faculty expectations and don’t “embody a sense of safety and confidence” among faculty, staff, and students.

According to its agenda, the Faculty Senate’s main concerns surrounding Penn State’s lack of COVID-19 vaccination requirements. To date, more than 700 universities, including eight Big Ten schools, have mandated vaccines for faculty and staff.....

Don’t worry. The Faculty Senate is all for show now. They’ve just noticed that PSU leadership isn’t ‘transparent’ in decision making?? Where have they been for the past decade?

Barron and company will have a nice little talk with them, they’ll hug it out, and they’ll eventually get in line. It’s what the Penn State faculty senate does.

If you read Barron’s letter to the community today he said mandatory vax would be too polarizing. In order words he is too much of a coward to take a stand. His image over safety.

The Imperial Faculty Senate doesn’t respect Darth Vader’s barren’s leadering. The Empire bot will deal with them with one swift stroke ( o_O ).
Incidentally, they’ve just released new images of Barron’s new Grand Cathedral of the Arts (and such). 😳

Are you talking about "hands up" Barron? Look at the stand he took by say he wasn't a fan of the Freeh Report, that it was flawed, and not useful to make decisions. Then he promised a more thorough review but never delivered on that promise.

Students are already highly vaccinated. Just no need to mandate it.

Now, the minute the FDA gives full approval to the vaccines, this all might change
