Early Look at the Pre-Allocation/AQ's By Weight

Somehow I missed it...is F&M not wrestling at EIWA's this year?

Regarding the Willie tweet above, posted by E-J, here's a bit of data...
First column is the conference, second the number of teams, far right is the percent of wrestlers in that conference that will go to NCAA's.

ACC

Big 12

37.50%
Big Ten

EIWA

Okay, but how do the above numbers for the EIWA compare previous years, when the six Ivy schools (Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Penn, Princeton) participated in the NCAA tournament? That's the question we're talking about here. As noted previously in this thread, Cornell and Princeton are two of the top three teams in the EIWA. If the numbers are pretty much the same, that wouldn't seem to make sense, given how the EIWA is so watered down this season.

IIRC, the Ivy League had 20 wrestlers ranked in the top 25 before the Ivies cancelled winter sports for 2020-21.

Below are the weight class allocations in 2020 (125 far left)

725436446344

Below are the weight class allocations in 2021:

22434445433510*45

*this number is the AQ's which is the conference champions in each weight class who get in regardless of how many matches they wrestled during the season

Glory, Arujau, Colaiocco, Manchio
LaJoie
Zapf, Kazimir
Yianni/Richard
Monday
Conigliaro, Cuomo
Loew, Stefanik
Darmstadt, Brucki, Urbas
Slavikouski, Furman

The above is a list (probably incomplete) of Ivy League NCAA qualifiers with remaining eligibility. EIWA retained their AQ spots.

Those 18 spots could've gone to smaller conferences that normally gets screwed. Or could've been held in reserve for at-larges.
