Just to illustrate how hard it is to see into the future on scheduling here are the 5 year cross-divisional matchups the Big 10 came up with (supposedly maintaining some level of historical power equivalency between the teams for scheduling parity):
PSU- Iowa
OSU- Nebraska
MIchigan- Wisconsin
MSU - Northwestern
No conspiracy theory here but eyeballing it based on where the western division programs are TODAY it looks like the Suckeyes may have caught a break as the Cornholers descend into mediocrity and based on what I saw last night Iowa is a program on the rise with some young talent in the cupboard. Michigan - Wisconsin feels about right and what looked to be a mismatch between MSU and Northwestern may now just be a race of also rans? Other thoughts / observations?
