I think you just about covered it all. Maybe the thread will lock you out until you acknowledge its finer points.

Then like mat 1 on BTN+ it will magically let you in.

Beau and Drew need to go out and “earn” their spots. I know they didn’t have the tournaments they wanted yesterday but at least go out today and earn what they can. We don’t want to be relying on three “at large”

There’s a clear path to victory over Michigan, but we have to be almost perfect. We can lose at 197 if Marinelli beats Amine but we can’t lose any if Amine beats Marinelli. Beating Iowa is an easier path than beating Michigan. Have to win our finals matches at 133, 141, 174 and 184.

Mich 116; PSU 111.5; Iowa 109

125:
Suriano beats Barnett. +4 Mich
Ayala beats Shawver for 7th. +1 Iowa

Mich 120; PSU 111.5; Iowa 110

133:
RBY beats DeSanto. +4 PSU
Ragusin beats Cannon; loses to winner of Byrd/Foley. +3.5 Mich.

Mich 123.5; PSU 115.5; Iowa 110

141:
Lee beats Eierman. +4 PSU
Micic MFF over SeaBass; loses to winner of D’Emilio/Bergeland. +5.5 Mich.

Mich 129; PSU 119.5; Iowa 110

149:
Bartlett over Storr. +1 PSU
Murin over Brill; Murin loses to Lovett. +3.5 Iowa.

Mich 129; PSU 120.5; Iowa 113.5

157:
Deakin beats Lewan.
Berge beats Coleman.
Young beats Robb
Berge beats Young.
+4.5 PSU. +3.5 Iowa.

Mich 129; PSU 125; Iowa 117

165:
Marinelli over Amine. This doesn’t absolutely have to happen but would provide breathing room for us to not be perfect.

Mich 129; PSU 125; Iowa 121

174:
CStar over Massa. +4 PSU.
Kem MFF out.

Mich 129; PSU 129; Iowa 121

184:
Brooks over Amine. +4 PSU
Assad over Salazar for 7th. +1 Iowa.

Mich 129; PSU 133; Iowa 122

197:
Dean over Shultz. +4 PSU
Brucki over Penola.
Caffey over Warner
Warner over Penola
Caffey over Brucki
+3.5 Mich; + 1 Iowa

Mich 132.5; PSU 137; Iowa 123

HWT:

Parris over Luffman
Kerk over Parris
+4.5 PSU; +3.5 Mich

Mich 136; PSU 141.5; Iowa 123

Ignores possible bonus points, but I wouldn’t expect too many bonus points at this point.

If we win all five finals, get Berge and Kerk to 3rd/4th place match and Marinelli beats Amine, then I don’t see how we don’t win the tournament. There are other paths, but that looks like the best one to me.

Sounds good to me. Thanks for the breakdown!

Beau vs Storr is a 2 point swing in the team race. Either PSU or Michigan picks up a point.

Per Byers, Edsell done for BIG's, but if Penn wrestler at 165 finishes 7th at EIWA, Edsell goes into the pool for at-large candidates.

125 Drew Hildebrandt vs Jacob Moran for an AQ

DH with first shot 30 secs in but JM blocks it. DH shoots again, gets single and finishes at edge of mat. 2-0 1:54 to go. Restart. DH riding. Double boots and has JM flattened out. Working a half from double boots. JM total flat for per a minute now. Stalemated with 0:40 to go. Heavy ride again but no boot until 15 secs to go. 2-0 after one with 1:53 RT.

DH chooses bottom. Out in 3 secs. 3-0. DH gets JM off balance and chases for a TD. Nothing. JM gets a good shot but they go OOB on their feet. Some stuffed shots from each wrestler. 3-0 after two. 1:48 RT for DH.

JM takes neutral. DH tries a few setups, gets JM off balance but no shot. 1 min to go. Riding time almost secured. And now it is. DH being physically tough, pushing JM around mat. JM never had an opening. DH wins 4-0 and will wrestle at NCAAs.

What time do the cons semis and 7-8 bouts start?
I’m guessing right after the mini tournaments for extra AQ. I’m tracking the mat assignments looking for Beau; nothing yet.
