And living in NoVA, you can't help but be comforted by Metro's new, rather ambitious ad campaign....
All of them that are on TV & Internet Web Sites. They ruin any viewing of actual content. Pain in the ****&%^ Wish they all go away.
I have no idea what Dilly, Dilly means and really don't want to.
But then you’d miss total genius like this:
I HATE the DirecTv ads where people laugh when they spill hot coffee on themselves or walk into a door and are ecstatic. Those are the stupidest commercials. Sadly I have DirecTv.
Absolutely, that guy is so disgusting even his dog doesn't want to walk with him.
Also pretty much any auto/home insurance commercial.
I think Deluth Trading has the best commercials.
Buick, I hate that music/jingle
Hmmm... I was thinking about changing my board name to J.G. Wentworth, but after seeing the replies that might make me more unpopular that PPB
Knocker.....it’s Duluth but you’re right. They just recently opened a store about 15 minutes away and every time I see one of their ads I tell myself I need to go check out the store. It’ll happen in the next two weeks or so.
Somehow these are even worse now that he's with Sprint. The part where he acts like he chose to come to Sprint because networks are all the same now, and not because Verizon just decided to stop using him in increasingly annoying commercials.
The allstae commercial with the twit that won't shut up. Bring back Mayhem, please
There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza...
As for the Chevy commercials with focus group guy, his name is Potsch Boyd, an actor.
It's also been shown that many of the real people on the commercial are in fact, also actors.
My favorite in that series was the one where everybody got a piece of wood and were given three options to cut it: a circular saw, a piece of dental floss, and a dead squirrel or something. Potsch says "Hey I notice you all chose the saw. Now why wouldn't you choose Chevy for your towing needs?"
Who thinks this is funny?
Geico’s commercials are like a MLB player that either hits a home run or strikes out.
And you have to admit, they keep trying. Probably more different commercials from them than from anybody.
The sloth thing is funny.
Liberty Mutual Insurance - all of them. It seems each actor got the job by auditioning in their acting 101 class.( I now dislike the name Brad )
I forgot about the new "Most Interesting Man In The World" commercials. The first guy was so perfect, you can't put anyone in his place. Add to that the most interesting college football fan.
I want to punch that little crippled kid on the Shriners Hospital commercials.
Omg this is the exact commercial I was thinking of when I saw this thread. It’s the only commercial in my life I have to mute or change the channel.
What's that number again? I can never remember...
There was a series of Miller Lite commercials where the bartender would mock the customer for not caring about which light beer they gave him. I despised those on two accounts: (1) maybe a bartender should just give the patron what he wants without the condescension, and (2) you're mocking a beer choice because Miller Lite would've so much more discerning?
I cut my cable because of commercials. I hate ads!!!! They all are extremely annoying, with lame gimmick songs to the stupid slogans, god awful.
I watch Netflix and amazon only now.
My Pillow. Dude spends 3 years perfecting and patenting a pillow?
Any of the Billy Mays commercials. He's way too excited about the useless SH-t he's selling.
Fixed it for you
The Let it Pro, Let it Pro, Let it Pro GMC "Look what I got" commercials.
any carfax commercial. The voice on that damn fox is like nails on a chalkboard
Thats the way I remember it as well. I also worked at a BK in '81 in Abilene TX. LOL.
Back then they had good fries and I loved their specialty sandwiches. Their Chicken was the closest thing to a Cosmo
I ever had out side of the dining hall.
Any and all of the upcoming tax commercials that serve as a constant reminder I dont have mine done yet and also that some chain tax place is going to save you hundreds over an actual accountant.
Yea I don't like the new guy at all and his side kick is even more annoying.
There are too many awful commercials to list even a top 10. I am surprised no one mentioned those stupid Verizon commercials with that ****ing asshole on them. Cellular company commercials have been among the worst consistently for a long time. And Geico of course, out of 200 absolutely horrific commercials they have like 2 that are actually good.
I hate the commercials that start with a bell or noise. I've noticed more and more of them. It has to be some kind of marketing ploy; perhaps you associate the sound before you zip the commercial. Ones I recall are Cricket wireless, Taco Bell, Honda, and Farmers Insurance.
Why? My dog bullets off the sofa or my wife's lap and barks at the TV when she hears that sound. Also, my new fridge has a sound that goes off if you leave the door open and my dog goes nuts over it.
Burger King fries were the best...then they decided they weren't good enough and dicked them all up. Now when I order a combo meal its always onion rings instead of fries...
Anyone notice they're starting to use Dark haired ginger's with black freckles in a bunch of commercials? Maybe it's just me...
My wife and I were having an argument about this earlier in the week. I can't tell if he's a sick kid or a 20 something midget they hired just to do the commercial.
Anything with the word "artisan". How can a plastic wrapped loaf of bread be "artisanal"?
Buffalo Wild Wings.
Yea I think it was in the early to mid 90's when they tried to do some type of "batter" on them to improve them.
Maybe it was because of the whole Transfat thing but whatever it didn't work. I'm not a McDonalds fan but they still
have the best fries.
Most shows we watch are on premium channels, Netflix, etc. so I watch them commercial free, on demand, dvr, etc. I guess I could complain about the delayed start for other shows, but I fwd through those just like commercials during PSU games.
I also realize I’m part of the problem, hence the TV timeouts, superfluous product placements, etc.
