"USC has been double digit favorite vs. Power 5 teams w/Steve Sarkisian in 6 games. USC lost 4 of those"

According to a guy from ESPN (I didn't verify it, but one would assume it is easy enough to check out)
If that is true.....WOW!

Going into the game, pretty sure Cody Kessler was No. 2 in America for total quarterback rating. He looked awful last night.

Seems to be a lot of pressure building on Sark as well.... Natives out there are growing restless and if this season goes sour they are saying look for him to get the boot. Amazing how today coaches get zero grace period. Either win basically immediately or your out....

Not so surprising given what some of these guys make. Hard to justify forking over $4mm or more p.a. for someone to be on a "learning curve."

Yup, and if you're a coach who is in a little bit of a precarious spot with on-field performance, might not be wise to get plastered at an alumni/booster event and get torn a new one by the AD. Bad look

Um...the shortened leash may have something to do with the drunken speech he gave to the big donors last month. And then having to tell the public he took prescription drugs while drinking prior to that speech and that he's "not sure he has a problem". Great PR

That and don't embarrass the school by being drunk and giving a profanity laced speech at an event.

Oops should have read your post first. LOL.

Oh, Good Lord........another EXPERT.

He actually wrote this:

"the details of which differ enormously but still make for a good apples to apples comparison in terms of their impacts on the programs’ operation."

Seriously?

Who the F is Adam Bittner?

th

Some other clips from Bittner's "work":

Regarding ESPN's genuflection towards XXX Jenner at the ESPYs:
" the substance of her transition story is worthy of being elevated as one of tremendous bravery in pursuit of a happiness few of us can really understand".

Regarding his disdain for PSU refusing to add Pitt as an annual "rival":
"My expectation would be that people will show up for the renewal of what was once a rivalry on par with Michigan-Ohio State and Alabama-Auburn"
Uh....sure. For maybe one 10 year stretch 30 years ago :)

FWIW, It appears that AB is a self-identified OSU Buckeye fan......with a regular gig in the PPG.....and has an IQ that could freeze water.

Actually he's a PSU grad and former sports editor of The Daily Collegian. Even PSU is not immune, but the last four years should have amply demonstrated that to us.

Washington had to be pumped for that one. A lot of those WA players are SoCal guys who USC didn't recruit and they beat their ex coach who walked away from them for USC job.

A whole lot of motivation in that. Good for WA.

It's looking more and more like Chip Kelly is going to have to choose between Texas and USC.
