We don't seem have long enough cleats on our shoes considering the wet field condition. The last two games our players have been falling down in key moments without anyone touching them. Last week is was Trace falling short on a key third down and today Miles falling down on what should have been an easy touchdown. Not to mention other players falling on defense. It does not seem like our opponents are having the same issues.

They could let the grass a little higher or dry the field with heaters when the tarps come off, just thinking aloud, not an expert. Something is off though.

The field has ALWAYS been one of the best natural playing surfaces in the country.

BUT

I’ve now seen more slips in the past two games than I’ve noticed in the last 5-10 years.

Something / somewhere isn’t right.

Changing cleats is the answer but was never discussed by equipment team.
