Centre County Common Pleas Judge Jonathan Grine and Magisterial District
Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker are reportedly suing the Centre County
Board of Commissioners for alleged violations of the judges' civil
liberties.

Is there another county out there that can match our county for baroque legal drama?

courts nationwide are a real mess right now.

large law firms are giving money to judicial elections so that the judges will give them favorable rulings and assign juicy cases to them. These things have been going on forever, however social media and statistical analytics now makes it easier to track and prove. In CLE, a judge running for reelection gave out 27% of the cases in the entire county the year before her election, there are something like 25 judges in the county so you can do the math on that.

The power brokers are trying to find a way to keep power by hiding information from the public. in this case, its public disclosure of texts on their Verizon phones. Are the phones paid for by the govt? If so, that is public data. If they are personal phones, the govt would need a search warrant to get that data. But search warrants are approved by judges, who may or many not be from the "other" party.

In the meantime, the public is finding out and its getting personal.

Interesting times.

If I lived there I'd be asking a lot of questions. Of course they'd be ignored. First the drama with the DA and now this.
