Since I am originally from the Philadelphia suburbs, I can firmly say -- COMCAST SUCKS !
The Roberts family initially would not allow home broadcasts of the Flyers, still keeps a rental charge on movies unless they are currently on live channels, and denies 'ala carte' will ever exist. Now with a new President, strict rules of broadcasting are in force to maximize profits. Just maybe -- BTN will be a pay per view very expensive 'new' product.
We have had Comcast for too many years with a channel lineup that we are accustomed to using without hesitation. Since we have lived in SW Florida for 15 years, it is hard to think of changing to see BTN on another service, without all of the clutter of the Comcast lineup. Thankfully my internet speeds with a Miami distribution are 146/14.
This topic has received almost constant attention -- and I do not know which or what service to choose -- some alternatives follow....comments appreciated !

Everything looks wonderful on the computer, but all need a device for the TV -- extra dollars. But perhaps all of the costs will be less than Comcast's monthly charge for 500 channels that are unwatchable. With each of the above BTN is available and your monthly invoice could be half of the previous Comcast bill.
As I said -- comments welcome.
