The offensive coaching AND the QB play are bad. Problem is one usually can make up for the other, when in our case both are pulling each other down.
There was legit talk of Hack leaving. But the problem was two fold for everybody. Franklin loses a big player to transfer(looks bad) AND Hack loses a year of eligibility unless he goes D1AA which wasn't gonna happen.
Everybody should have bit the bullet. Hack has a pro body, works very hard, just doesn't have a feel or ability to make/extend plays and defenses just begin to capitalize on that. Some sacks are totally on the O-line, but he has to be able to throw 3/4 of those away.
You have to wonder, this game looked a lot like Northwestern last year and teams that have the ability to mix their defensive looks will continue to do exactly what happened in that game and today.
Don't know that McSorely fares better, but for Franklin his spin might be to keep Hack from getting killed giving McSorely some drives a game.
He either declares for draft or finds a decent AA fit. No way he comes back in 2016.
